I didn't think I was going to like this game before I tried it and I am glade I did because it is awesome. Resogun is a side-scrolling voxel based shooter and the spiritual successor to the Stardust games by the same developer. The developer has, however, expressed a desire to create a more modern game that doesn't hearken back to the classics. ![]() I suggest everyone to at least give it a try. Resogun dev's biggest game is a PS5 launch title - rumour. I’ll not be using the slightest bit of mistruth when I say that I felt heavy-hearted when Super Stardust, Alienation and Resogun developer Housemarque announced that it’d hang up the towel on its twin-stick arcade shooter business. There are also leaderboards and 3 different ships to try with different strengths and weaknesses. The game is short with 5 levels but there is a lot of replayability especially if you are a trophy hunter. Or it could be I just suck at getting my multiplier up.lol. Resogun was developed by Housemarque, an independent game development studio from Finland known for its previous shoot 'em up games, and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game will have like 400 enemies attacking you at one time and the next minute there may not be any and it doesn't take long before your multiplier resets to 1.00. Also sometimes when you are trying to get your multiplier up you can lose it from there being no enemies on the screen. My only problem with the game would be sometimes there is so much going on,on the screen that out of nowhere a bullet or something hits you and you cant see it through all the explosions and since this is a one hit kill game it can get frustrating, especially if you are trying to beat the game without losing all your lives. I platinumed the game and was proud of myself. It's very hard if you play on tougher difficulty and the trophies are fun to get. The amount of enemies attack you all at once will get your heart going, quick reflexes and using your tools wisely like boost, overdrive and bombs are fun. The amount of enemies attack you all I must say that for a side scroller that this game is pretty fun. Resogun launched last November alongside the PS4 and was part of the free PlayStation Plus lineup that month.I must say that for a side scroller that this game is pretty fun. Curiously, Bluepoint Games, a developer who has also worked together with Sony for remasters of popular series like Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Demon's Souls, Gravity Rush Remastered, and the Shadow of the Colossus remaster was dragged into the situation. Imagine RESOGUN, right? Now imagine it so much better that you almost forget how good the original was. ![]() We asked him whether other developers will be using the extra GDDR5 RAM and more GPU compute.
